The Role:
Innoforce seeks a highly motivated, experienced Business Development Director to join our growing global sales team with an initial focus on expanding our Contract Development & Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) business throughout the eastern coast of the United States
Job Responsibilities:
Lead business development efforts within the assigned territory to achieve annual sales, revenue, and funnel targets for Innoforce’s ATMP CDMO business to ensure continued growth
Work with technical operations to oversee the negotiation and closure of customer contracts
Partner closely with marketing to define and implement marketing strategies to drive growth and increase the business pipeline
Act as a relationship manager for key customers in partnership with Innoforce’s leadership team members
Develop and maintain business relationships across all levels
Participate in sales meetings, tradeshows, and partnering events
Utilize the database to input and provide information that will increase effectiveness and aid sales
Work with Operations, Quality, and Project Management with an understanding of project requirements so that accurate and timely quotations can be prepared
Help in the negotiation of Confidentiality Agreements, Proposals, and Master Service Agreements
The Candidate:
BS/MS/PhD degree in a Life Sciences discipline
Location requirement: United States East Coast (ideally living within a one-hour drive to Boston/Cambridge, MA)
Existing knowledge of the development & production of mRNA and Cell & Gene Therapy medicines and the industry (strongly preferred); must have a thorough knowledge of biologics, R&D and bioprocessing, if no CGT experience
5+ years’ relevant experience post academia (required); 2+ years’ experience in a Business Development role with a demonstrated track record of success, driving achievement of revenue growth targets and ensuring customer satisfaction (strongly preferred)
Previous experience with a CDMO (strongly preferred)
Talent for building key customer relationships with the capability to educate and demonstrate technical value propositions to promote Innoforce’s service offerings
Ambition for excellence and results, with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment
High aptitude for learning technical and scientific information
Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time
Enthusiasm to work both as a contributing team member as well as independently
Capacity to recognize the needs of the customer while collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop proposals that exceed customer expectations
Reliable, highly motivated, detail-oriented, results-driven, and customer-focused
Demonstrated track record of increasing revenue through the generation of leads
Strong communication and negotiation skills
An established network of contacts within the global biopharmaceutical industry (strongly preferred)
